In 2007, Lara MacGregor, at 30 years old and 7 months pregnant, was diagnosed with breast cancer. After being gifted headscarves accompanied by a note that said “You can do this” during her treatment, she founded Hope Scarves, bringing hope and community to thousands of people. Then, after 7 years in remission, she was diagnosed again - this time with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. With her new reality, Lara had to redefine hope for herself and for her organization: to live life over cancer. Lara chose to write her own story: one of laughter and love. One that embraces every moment intentionally. One of hope.
